The messages of Jesus to the seven churches of Asia

Jesus sent messages to seven churches in Asia Minor. These messages have local, universal, and historical application, representing seven periods of the history of the Christian church.

And Now?

The seven churches speak to us today:

  • Ephesus: Do not lose your first love
  • Smyrna: Be faithful unto death
  • Pergamos: Do not compromise with error
  • Thyatira: Reject false teachings
  • Sardis: Awake from spiritual death
  • Philadelphia: Enter through the open door
  • Laodicea: Recognize your true condition

My Decision

I recognize that the message to Laodicea is especially relevant for me today. I do not want to be lukewarm in my faith. I accept Jesus’s counsel to buy from Him the gold of faith, the garments of righteousness, and the eye salve of spiritual discernment.
