The great controversy explains pain without blaming God for evil

The Bible presents a conflict between Christ and Satan that helps explain sin, suffering, and final hope.

Suffering raises a difficult question: if God is good, why is there so much evil? The Bible does not answer with superficial phrases. It presents a real conflict between God’s government and rebellion against His character.

This conflict begins before human history, but reaches the earth through sin. Pain does not arise from God’s character. It arises from rupture with Him.

God does not govern by blind force

The Bible shows that God is sovereign, but His government is not tyranny. He allows rebellion to reveal its fruits so that the universe may understand the difference between love and selfishness, truth and deception, life and destruction.

This does not make suffering simple. But it prevents the conclusion that God is the author of evil. Christ reveals that God enters human pain to save, not to hide.

Prophecy shows that the conflict will end

Daniel and Revelation present powers, crises, and persecutions, but they also show that God guides history. Evil will not be eternal. God’s judgment will vindicate His character and restore what was broken.

Christian faith lives in the middle of the conflict, but not without hope. Christ has already conquered at the cross and will complete His victory.
