Jesus Christ: God with us and Savior of the world
Jesus is not merely a moral teacher. The Bible presents Him as the eternal Son of God, Savior, and Lord.
Christian faith depends on who Jesus is. If He were only a religious example, His death would be only martyrdom. If He were only a prophet, His words could guide, but not save. The Bible presents something greater: Christ is the eternal Son of God who came into the world to rescue sinners.
In the Gospels, Jesus forgives sins, receives worship, overcomes temptations, and reveals the Father. In His humanity, He comes near to our pain. In His divinity, He has power to save completely.
The incarnation reveals God’s nearness
God did not deal with sin from a distance. In Christ, the Son took human nature, lived among us, and faced the reality of suffering. This shows that salvation is not abstract theory, but divine intervention in history.
Jesus knows human weakness without participating in sin. Therefore, He is a compassionate and faithful Savior. He does not merely teach the way; He is the way.
The cross and resurrection sustain hope
Christ’s death was not an unexpected defeat. It was voluntary self-giving in favor of sinners. At the cross, sin was taken seriously and God’s love was revealed deeply.
The resurrection confirms that Christ conquered death. Christian hope does not rest in beautiful ideas, but in a living Savior who intercedes and will return.
